Exmouth Sea Wall
Winner of the Small Civil Engineering Award from the prestigious national British Construction Industry Awards in 2008.
This award winning £1.27M scheme to reconstruct the sea wall and strengthen the dock entrance was prompted by an environmental assessment which predicted the risk of wave over-topping and scour damaging the structure. It was a technically challenging project with uninterruptible inlet marina adjacent. A new sheet piled wall and rock armour revetment now ensures the beach is protected but also prepares the dock quayside ahead of construction of a new seven story apartment block.
