Peter has over 40 years of experience in Structural Engineering bearing from housing through to commercial and public buildings. He started work in a drawing office and became a Technician Engineer in 1976. Following that he gained a BSC in Civil Engineering and became a charted Engineer with the Institute of Structural Engineers in 1984. His early career has allowed Peter to develop a practical attitude to Structural Engineering. This follows through into the Structural Engineering services offer by Sands.

As a Director of that company Peter has responsibility of structural Engineering undertaken together with overall Company management.

In later years Peter has become more involved in Timber Frame Engineering and currently guides the company in its increasing involvement with that method of construction and Engineering. He is also leading the company in preparing itself for the implementation of Euro codes during 2011.
