West Buckland School
Those present at the official opening of this state of-the-art facility may well be inspired to try and emulate the man responsible for unveiling the plaque, a certain Jonathan Edwards CBE. The project comprised the design of a sports hall, gymnasium, conference room and associated amenity areas. Sands used their expertise to combine various materials to form an economic structure, blending the strength of steelwork with the simplicity of masonry. Jonathan’s long jump record is marked out near to the hall to motivate future pupils with Olympic aspirations.
