Over the past twelve years Sands have been appointed to work on numerous different developments in Poundbury, The Duchy of Cornwall's new town on the edge of Dorchester. From individual houses to large apartment buildings, offices, shops and even a care home, Sands have provided the Structural Engineering.

The classical architecture preferred by the masterplanners poses certain challenges, especially when trying to work with modern methods of construction.

The resulting vernacular divides opinion but there is no doubt about the high quality of the buildings and their finishes.
